Around the Bay – 210km ride for ASRC
Story
Hey!
I've finally committed to doing the Around the Bay ride this year, with Tom and Sam. It's 210km all up, starting in Melbourne CBD, up the freeway to Geelong, over the ferry to Sorrento and back along the Mornington Peninsula. I'm scared.

To make it worth while, I was hoping to collect some cash for the amazing Asylum Seeker Rescource Centre. I'm feeling pretty helpless politically of late, not least because I can't vote in Australia. This is a small way of helping those who aren't as lucky as me, when it comes to starting a life in Australia.
A donation of any size would help these guys massively, as well as giving me the extra motivation needed to train through winter for this damn thing.

A bit about ASCR
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) protects and upholds the human rights, wellbeing and dignity of asylum seekers. They are are the largest provider of aid, advocacy and health services for asylum seekers in Australia.
How your donation could help:
$10 Can pay for a food parcel to feed an asylum seeker family for a week
$20 Can pay for a phone card for an asylum seeker in detention to call their family
$55 Can pay for medical care for 10 asylum seeker children who have no Medicare
$100 Can fund crisis support to 20 asylum seekers families for a week

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
